"Kathrin studied Illustration as one of the students on an diploma course offered by London Art College (established circa 1931, offering many different art genre courses), and she immediately proved herself to be a wonderful artist.
She is gifted with technical and imaginative ability, and showed herself to be extremely articulate and erudite in ideas, thoughts, musings and communications, as well as in her grasp pf materials, tools, techniques and their widespread application and employment in picture making.
Kathrin has excellent drawing skills, enhanced by great use of colour, and she is able to create imaginative and unique imagery; this is backed by strong preparatory and foundational work which underlies and underlines her research and construction of characters, settings, effects. Kathrin gained a well-deserved Distinction award for her studies on the course.

"Hi there, I’m Kai and for my seminar paper/assignment about „How chess computers work“ I asked my mom to design the cover of the document. - Made perfect sense to me since I had my own in-house illustrator at my disposal! ;) - After describing what I’d like she created three different cover drafts in form of sketches and asked me to choose one. I also could have asked for more drafts. Since I already liked one of the sketches, she used it as a reference to start the actual drawing.
Mom kept me updated on her progress and always checked with me if the drawing was what I had envisioned. Thus, there were plenty of opportunities to suggest an edit of somekind. However, I didn't feel the need to do so, as I was continuously happy with it. All in all, an amazing illustrator to work with. - And a great mom! :)"
